New Indiana Jones DLC Announced
Out of all of the announcements at Xbox’s Summer Showcase last weekend, one of the most understated (but exciting) reveals was the existence of a DLC expansion for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. MachineGames’ take on Indy launched last December to a surprisingly great reception, and, on September 4th, the story is getting expanded with ‘The Order of the Giants’.

We didn’t see too much of the expansion itself apart from a brief teaser, but we do know it’ll involve a healthy dose of crawling around in dark tombs that fans of the base game will know so well. This new story sees Dr.Jones investigate a cult surrounding the race of giants that players of the base game will be familiar with. Set in the underbelly of Rome with the promise of gladiator battles and lost conspiracies in Emperor Nero’s tomb, this is set to be quite a hefty expansion.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle was a welcome surprise upon its launch in December. The Troy Baker led adventure through Egypt, Thailand and the Vatican City managed to capture the feel of the games much better than many anticipated- lending to it achieving a mighty score on Opencritic. It’s definitely worth a try if you’re at all interested in the Indiana Jones IP or are missing the action from other series like Uncharted and Tomb Raider.

Although the base game is included with Game Pass, this expansion won’t be when it launches later this year. If you have the game via game pass, however, you will still be able to access this DLC as long as you purchase it and have an active Game Pass subscription. No price has been revealed for this content as of yet. If you’re craving more tomb raiding action, you can pick up ‘The Order of the Giants’ when it comes to Xbox, PC and PS5 on September 4th.
