Latest Game From Sifu Studio Out Now

The next release from Sloclap- the studio behind the fantastic martial arts release ‘Sifu’ has just released their latest game titled ‘Rematch’. Unlike Sifu, however, Rematch won’t see you fighting off waves of enemies in John Wick style fistfights. Instead, this is a football game with its own individual identity and twist- one which is quite unique.

Unlike the typical 11v11 matches you’d get in other football games like Fifa, Rematch sees you control only a single member of a team in a 5v5 high energy match. You won’t be able to switch to other players since these are real life other people on your team. Strangely enough, the easiest way to describe this would be Rocket League but with regular players instead of cars.

Rematch therefore really lends itself to team play and skill based positioning compared to its contemporaries. Rematch is designed to be somewhat realistic with some arcade twists like speed and power boosts for your shots granted for skillful play. It may be better to play this one with friends if possible, though, considering how much team coordination is needed to pull off some more daring plays.

The game is currently at a mostly positive 78% on Steam so its well worth trying out if you’re looking for a more team-based skillful football experience. You can pick it up for £21 on PC, Xbox and PS5.
